Buying guidance for C710

Which replacement filter fits the C710?

The C710 manual specifies Filter Z, part 1712-0121-00. One combined canister is installed at a time. Match that part and your exact model on the selected seller listing.

Does the C610 use the same filter?

Yes. The C610 and C710 manuals both identify Filter Z, 1712-0121-00. That confirms the manufacturer part match; it does not independently verify the performance of a third-party substitute.

1712-0125-00 vs 1712-0121-00: what is the difference?

Winix lists 1712-0121-00 as Filter Z for C610 and C710. Costco lists 1712-0125-00 as a genuine Filter Z two-pack for C610, containing two all-in-one filters. For C610, the sources support a pack-size distinction, not a different filter family. Costco’s page only names C610; for a C710 purchase, use an offer that explicitly confirms C710. Package comparison checked October 10, 2026.

When should I replace it?

Winix gives approximately 12 months as the replacement interval, with timing dependent on the environment. Inspect the filter and follow its reminder; a two-pack is not a guarantee of two years of service.

Replacement guidance
Replace this filter set approximately every 12 months; conditions can shorten its service life.
Filter configuration
One all-in-one canister installed per purifier. Check the replacement seller’s pack count separately.

Replace the filters in your C710

  1. Switch off, unplug, and let the purifier cool. Turn it upside down and rotate the bottom handle counterclockwise to remove the cover.
  2. Turn the filter’s upper cap counterclockwise to separate it. Replace the used canister and remove the new filter’s protective wrapping. Keep the pre-filter layer attached.
  3. Align the assembly with the square opening shown in the manual. Secure the upper cap clockwise, then turn the bottom handle clockwise to close the cover. Return the purifier upright before reconnecting power.

Reset the filter light

The C710 manual is inconsistent: control-panel item 01 specifies a 10-second hold on Filter Life / Filter Reset; the Replacing Filters section specifies at least 5 seconds with power on, until a beep. Use the instructions supplied with your unit or confirm the procedure with Winix if the reminder does not clear. Reset only after replacing the filter.

With the purifier unplugged, use a vacuum or soft brush on the outer pre-filter only, about every 14 days. Do not wash the canister or attempt to clean the HEPA media. Cleaning the pre-filter does not replace changing the spent canister.
